Taught by Scott Howard with special guest, master mason Boubacar Kassogue from Dogon Country, Mali. Learn to build nubian vaults using small size adobe bricks. This technique dates back to ancient times and is still one of the fastest, most durable ways to enclose a space. Participants will learn how to build adobe brick walls and buildings, nubian vault, estimate their costs, and apply earthen plasters. Also just being in Mali, is a great learning experience. We plan to complete a small building as a gift to Boubacar’s village.
Tuition includes everything except airfare.
