In late September 2011, I will start building a small house using Earthbags and cob, in San Cristobal de Las Casas, Chiapas, Mexico.
If you visit my website, you will see that I am focusing on Earthbag Building with a social work twist. (I´ve volunteered my time and experience to train local farmers on the Earthbag Building technique).
We will build a Dry Toilet and a rain water harvesting system (I have done the research, but it will be the first time I will build these things).
If you are in the area, or want to come to Chiapas, Mexico, and learn, exchange experiences, about Earthbag Building and Cob you will be most welcome. Of course, there will be no “participation fee”, just the honest offering to learn and work together for as long as you like. I can offer you a place to put your sleeping bag and a place to cook your meals. I can also help you to learn or improve your Spanish. San Cristobal is a nice town, and Chiapas is a well known region with many beautiful places to visit and many people visiting them.
