[ June 23, 2012 to June 24, 2012. ] Join us for a 2 day introduction to the art of natural finishes.

Hands-on learning will include base coat and finish coats of earth plastering on a small cob cottage. We will learn about clays and natural pigments and how to create your own recipes.

[ March 31, 2012 to April 1, 2012. ] Learn to build, plaster, and decorate earthen buildings in this three-part series. During this weekend course, build with bricks and mud mortar, sculpt creative shapes in Cob (puddled adobe), and learn to finish these works with an earthen plaster.

$120 ($300 for all three New Mexico courses)

Lunch included.

[ April 21, 2012 to April 22, 2012. ] Learn to build, plaster, and decorate earthen buildings in this three-part series. During this weekend course, learn the finer points of water-proofing Adobe, finish plasters, and earthen paints (alizes). Achieve a wide variety of textures, colors, and durability.

$120 ($300 for all three New Mexico courses)

Lunch included.

[ May 5, 2012 to May 6, 2012. ] Learn to build, plaster, and decorate earthen buildings in this three-part series. Celebrate Cinco de Mayo by building an Horno. All phases of oven construction will be explored in this fun, hands-on class.
