SUMMARY:Create Sacred Space- A Straw Bale roundhouse workshop
DESCRIPTION:We will be installing the Straw Bales for this conical roofed roundhouse \, using the bales in their vertical orientation \, known as BOEBS\, which stands for Bales On End Between Studs. This is a fantastic technique where the Bales are oriented vertically within a light stud-framed wall\, using the 15” narrow dimension of the bales as the wall thickness. This technique uses less bales\, and has a lower building cost per square foot than bales laid flat\, while still creating a wall system with great insulation.\nWe’ll be finishing out the bales with a site made cob plaster leveling coat and finish coat\,  and will explore cob bench building\, bas-relief sculpture\, altar and niche building\, stone sill cutting \, door and window framing and installation\, conical roof design and carpentry. Also included are a natural building home tour \, a Yuba River swimming trip\, camping \,  3 fresh meals a day and hot showers. \n  \n
