Want to bring color, light, and artistry into your walls? This hands-on workshop is all about bottle-log windows and floating window frames – techniques that make natural buildings glow.

We’ll dive into every step, from sourcing bottles to installing frames that will last for ages.

What we’ll cover:

• Sourcing, selecting, cutting, and disinfecting bottles

• Drying and taping techniques for bottle-log assembly

• Creating custom window frames that work with cob and cordwood walls

• Prepping for proper flashing and weatherproofing

• Installing and floating frames in unbuilt walls for a seamless, artistic look

You’ll get the full picture: how to marry design, light, and durability with plenty of time for hands-on cutting, prepping, and building.

This workshop is part of our Fall Earthbuilding Series at Talking Water Nature Retreat in wild Chattanooga, TN, where we’re creating a mini forest amphitheater using cob, cordwood, and stacked stone. It’s beginner-friendly, creative, and full of muddy magic, healthy meals, and forest camping.
