Join us for Phase 2 of our Bioconstruction Workshop series.
With Habitat Recovery Project, we are creating a hexagonal Sanctum as a spiritual beacon. This project brings together folks from near and far to learn to construct with nontoxic materials. In Phase 1, we used many bioconstruction techniques: cordwood, cob, light clay straw, Bousillage (a Louisiana regional cob method), bottle-bricks, roundwood framing, natural plasters. We had additional education sessions on chainsaw safety and felling trees. We held classroom sessions with special guests about environmental racism, local indigenous history, and construction sites culture.
