Tool Lending Library Build
📅 February 21 | 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
📍 Riverside-Corona Resource Conservation District (RCRCD), Riverside, California
Join us for a hands-on natural building day as we continue constructing the Tool Lending Library using pallet-based cob techniques. This workday focuses on cobbing in the walls over the pallet structure and crafting bottle bricks for an artistic and light-filled upper wall installation.
Use the provided link to make a donation that fits your education budget. This will also register you for the event. Then you will receive an email with instructions.
Participants will:
• Mix and apply cob to pallet wall systems
• Learn proper clay-sand-straw ratios and application techniques
• Create bottle bricks for embedded art and natural lighting
• Gain experience in low-cost, regenerative building methods
• Contribute to a permanent community resource
This project is part of an ongoing effort to build resilient infrastructure that supports tool sharing, skill building, and community self-reliance.
No prior experience is necessary. All skill levels are welcome. Wear work clothes you don’t mind getting muddy, bring gloves, sun protection, and water.
Come prepared to learn, collaborate, and help shape a structure that will serve the community for years to come.
