Tool Lending Library Build – Interior Fixtures & Plaster Workshop

📅 May 23 | 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
📍 Riverside-Corona Resource Conservation District (RCRCD), Riverside, California

Join us for a hands-on workshop as we continue developing the Tool Lending Library with interior fixture installation and interior and exterior plastering.

This build day combines functional design with finishing techniques. Participants will help design and install shelving and storage systems while also applying earthen plasters to protect and refine both interior and exterior wall surfaces.

Participants will:

• Collaboratively design and install interior shelving and storage
• Mix and apply interior and exterior earthen plasters
• Understand surface preparation, layering, and finishing techniques
• Contribute to a durable and beautiful community-built structure

This workshop blends design, carpentry, and natural finishing skills in one cohesive build day. You will gain practical experience in creating functional infrastructure while learning traditional plaster techniques that protect and enhance earthen walls.

No prior experience is necessary. All skill levels are welcome. Wear work clothes you don’t mind getting dusty or muddy, and bring gloves, sun protection, and water.

Use the provided link to make a donation that fits your education budget. This will also register you for the event. You will then receive an email with instructions.

Come ready to collaborate, refine, and help complete a space that will serve the community for years to come.
